Desirée
joined Caslin, Cecil & Holtrey in September 2003 while attending
Daymar College. She graduated June 2004 Magna Cum Laude with an associates
degree in paralegal studies. Desirée has work experience in a medical
office which allowed her to become familiar with medical terminology,
tests, and records. Desirée assists our team by helping clients with
workers’ compensation and social security forms and questions.
She reads and summarizes the medical records for most cases. Desirée
works closely with our personal injury attorneys to itemize every medical
expense a client incurs, so that the highest value of the claim can
always be recovered. In addition, she is well versed with computers,
which enables the firm to process, settle, and litigate claims quickly
and efficiently.
Amy Burden joined Caslin, Cecil and Holtrey in June 2006. She works as the primary assistant to Travis Holtrey in his civil litigation cases. Prior to joining the office, Amy worked for seven years at Trendowski Law Offices in Centerbrook, Connecticut where she began as a legal secretary working in insurance defense litigation. After several years with the Trendowski office she took on the responsibilities of the office manager for the firm. Amy and her husband relocated to Owensboro in April 2006, where because of her impressive work background, she was immediately offered a secretarial position with the Caslin, Cecil & Holtrey team.
Jeniffer Black Jeniffer Black joined Caslin, Cecil and Holtrey in 2007. She works primarily as an assistant to Daniel Caslin on workers compensation cases. Prior to joining the office, Jeniffer worked for five years at Benchmark Properties as a Property Management Consultant and assistant to the owner. Jeniffer has past experience in the medical and dental fields which gives her a better understanding of the medical terminology which she uses while processing the workers compensation case reviews. Jeniffer also brings to the company a great deal of management background from her experiences at Benchmark as well as manager for a major cosmetic company. Jeniffer's extensive background in customer service allows her to connect with the clients and help them understand and become more comfortable during the litigation process.
