Fractured Skull and Detached Supra-Orbital Nerve.

32 year old male working at indoor industrial site in Kentucky is struck by a 16 lb. bearing which fell from approximate twenty feet high.  Two claims filed: (1) Negligence claim adverse crane maintenance company for failing to remove the bearing from the overhead crane and for failing to see the bearing during inspection.  (2) Workers Compensation claim filed because of the resulting occupation disability.

 

RESULT:  Client has future related medical bills paid for remainder of life.  Client receives monthly compensation for permanent partial disability.  Client received monetary settlement for Pain and Suffering.  All client’s medical expenses paid.

 

 

11 Story Fall – Permanent Neurological Damage

Floor of hotel collapses and guest falls eleven stories through a utility shaft.  Client suffers multiple fractures and severe flesh wounds which result in permanent neurological deficits.  Case filed in Circuit Court and set for trial. 

 

RESULT:  Settlement reached via mediation shortly prior to trial.  Client’s medical expenses were all covered along with pain and suffering, past and future wage loss.  Client later received social security benefits as well.  

 

 

Pedestrian Struck By Brick Wall of City Building

Fire truck leaving fire station runs into brick wall and the wall falls on pedestrian who is getting child out of car parked on street next to fire station.   Client suffers serious skin lacerations and cervical disc injury.

 

RESULT:  Case settled for more than 8 times the amount of medical expenses. 

 

 

Medical Mistake to New Mother

After C-Section, mother suffers sepsis and eventually dies of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. 

 

RESULT:  Estate compensated via mediated settlement for loss of earnings over life time and pain and suffering prior to death. 

 

 

ATV Kills Child

Unsupervised minor is killed when four-wheeler goes end over end due to child’s inability to control ATV and lack of training.  Child was not wearing helmet.

 

RESULT:  Insurance policy limits for the property of owner of ATV are paid to child’s estate after extensive litigation.
